The project consisted of improving a major transition inter-change from I-17 to SR-69 at Cordes Junction. At the time, this project was the second largest CMAR ever awarded by ADOT. The two year project included 254,865 square yards of asphalt milling, 108,263 tons of asphalt base paving, 13,764 tons of miscellaneous structural detour paving, and 5,234 tons of rubberized asphalt surface course paving.
