The proposed roadway improvements include the reconstruction of the existing El Mirage Road Cactus to Grand Avenue and Thunderbird Road 127th Avenue to El Frio Road. The final improvements will be two (2) lanes of travel in each direction with intermediate raised medians. (2.5 mile of roadway reconstruction). This project will include intersection improvements at Thunderbird Road and Cactus Road. The proposed roadway improvements include, but are not limited to, asphalt/concrete paving, curb & gutter, sidewalk, driveway connections, raised landscaped medians, stormwater management facilities, APS/CenturyLink/Cox Duct Bank, utility relocation’s, traffic signals and signing, as well as thermal striping.
