Sunland Asphalt & Construction, Inc. (Sunland) has started 2020 off with a bang!

Sunland has been named 2020 Contractor of the Year by Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction Magazine (Pavement Magazine).  Through strategic planning, strong core values and employee owner support, Sunland has seen continuous exponential growth over the last 40 years.  With office locations in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico, and services ranging from asphalt pavement maintenance to concrete to bridge construction, Sunland provides the broadest range of services of any Contractor of the Year recipient from Pavement Magazine.

Sunland caught Pavement Magazine’s eye with expansion into new construction specialties in 2019: racetrack construction.  In addition to Contractor of the Year, Pavement Magazine recognized the Apex Motor Club, Arizona’s newest racetrack located in Maricopa, AZ as the 2020 Paving: Non-Parking Lot project of the year.

Sunland formally received the awards for 2020 Contractor of the Year award and the 2020 Pavement: Non-Parking Lot Award for Apex Motor Club at the National Pavement Expo in Nashville, Tennessee with Michael Thompson, Michael Baer and Immanuel Martinez accepting the award on Sunland’s behalf.
