On Saturday, October 3, 2020, Sunland Asphalt & Construction (Sunland) hosted a golf tournament benefiting Lead Guitar at the Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix AZ. Beating the goal of $90,000 the golf tournament raised $106,175 for Lead Guitar, a non-profit organization that provides music education to public schools at no cost to the school. The master instructors not only teach students but also train teachers to teach classical guitar as well. Students who participate in music programs are not only more likely to attend college but while in high school have better grades and better attendance!

At the event, there were two vendors at every hole on the 18-hole course donating their time and money for the cause. An auction was held for three prizes; Canyon Ranch Spa Day for two, Night Out in Phoenix – Limo and Dinner, and a Private Plane Weekend Getaway to Hayden Lake, Idaho. A value totaling $31,400.
